The E.L.F Poreless Putty Primer is the best primer at the drugstore. It released around the time the Tatcha primer was ultra-popular amongst the beauty community. The packaging, the texture, & the benefits of ELF & Tatcha were similar enough for the makeup girlies to coin it as the more expensive product’s official dupe. The hype around the E.L.F Putty primer is arguable true, so I was intrigued by the new formulation of its liquid twin flame: The Liquid Poreless Putty Primer.
I picked up E.L.F’s Liquid Putty Primer with hopes of it performing as well as the original. They both have the same key ingredients which is squalene for hydration on the skin to create a smooth canvas. One major difference is the liquid is a silky texture while the potted one is a bit thicker & tacky. I prefer the original putty primer after testing them through a full work shift.
The liquid primer is not as long-lasting as the original. My skin is dry/combo & oily in my t-zone area. I noticed the formula of the potted version sticks to your skin better so oil won’t seep through. I have to touch up more times than usual when I use the liquid primer versus when I use the OG; which makes me look matte all day.
E.L.F Cosmetics Poreless Putty Primer vs. Liquid Poreless Primer makeup war is finally settled:
The winner is The OG Poreless Putty Primer is the better primer. It blurs your pores for a smooth base, it’s long-lasting, & it makes your makeup look beautiful! Add this high-quality & affordable product to your makeup application for gorgeous every day skin.
