It’s a new month, which means yes, a new me is here. Plot twist: it’s actually the real me. Like the me before my baby girl, before the long-ass relationship, before the trends, the noise, & before the adulting got loud… me.
This past almost year? A full-on movie. Y’all witnessed me shapeshift through aesthetics, moods, & full character arcs. Oscar-worthy, if you ask me.
Somehow, all these different versions of myself just led me back home — to the OG girl. The one who loved existing before the pressure to be polished every damn second: Jea’Tayla.
Most people don’t even know my real name unless they went to school with me or we’ve worked together, but lately I really feel like her. “I’m at peace with myself—I’m at one with it.”🧘🏾♀️
Now that my baby girl is out living her best summer life, I’ve been in the house doing… whatever the hell I want. Watching Chopped & Beat Bobby Flay on the Food Network until 2AM like I’m 15 again, cooking lil vegan meals, laughing at the funniest videos. & vibing to music, making fire playlists, writing, studying—just living. (Lowkey, I’m such a mom idek what to do when my baby is gone…I be looking like⬇️⬇️⬇️)

Not gonna lie, I’ve been a house cat lately. This heat? Criminal. So I’ve been in the crib doing my little HIIT workouts (don’t play with me, I’m still snatched) I’m officially dairy-free & poultry-free as of last month, so now I’m a baby vegan. I feel amazing. If you’re curious about swaps, lmk. I’ve replaced everything & haven’t missed a thing. Honestly? I’m proud of myself.
Also, I was pregnant last month….With a sunflower. 😂🌻 Yes, I gave birth to a seed & now I’m a full-blown plant mom. Haha! Watering her daily like she’s going to college this fall. I love her🥹
All in all, I’m truly just present. Not chasing anything, not trying to be a boss babe, not even dressed up — just being. And oddly, it’s the most glamorous I’ve felt in a minute.
Anyway, just a quick lil update from your favorite cozy, bougie, lover girl in hibernation. Now that’s it’s July, it’s officially fall in my head😃😆But…Nothing major— ILY<3
