I live my life like I’m the most interesting character in my favorite movie—because honestly, I am. Since all eyes are on me, why not give them something worth watching? I treat each day like a new scene, & I never miss the chance to show up classy, bougie, & unforgettable.
This morning, I step into my role of the “Golfer’s bronze wife.” I wear a navy ribbed sleeveless collared top with a crisp white pleated mini skirt. My white Hermes-inspired sandals add just the right amount of luxury. I finish the look with gold jewelry that glows against my skin. My hair’s in a ponytail with a side swoop— flirty & effortless. Kendall tells me I look 18. A win is a win.
I pack a little after-school snack for my little honey before I pick her up from school. A nourishing treat to keep her energy up as we run errands through 84-degree heat. One of my favorite scenes in my film? Shopping to enhance the character I play daily. Pretty, baddie, & ultra mean. That’s my formula.
I’m simple at heart, though. I love to shop, care for my daughter, write on my blog in my sanctuary, run my beauty business, & live in love.
Today, we find Kendall a blue & white outfit she needs for her group dance in her school’s talent show. They’re dancing to the song Sailor by Gigi Perez. For the video she’s making with her little crew, we pick out the perfect style: a preppy oversized blue tee that says “Newport Volleyball,” a white pleated skirt, & cream Birkenstock-inspired sandals. She looks like a star in the making. I love being the cool, aesthetic mom who always gets it.
We stop by JCPenney—nostalgia in its purest form. Not many shop there anymore, but it has its charm. Hidden gems, soft lighting, & that lingering scent of mall perfume—it reminds me of the golden era when the mall was the social hub. When life was slower, phones stayed in pockets, & you spent hours hopping from store to store with your girls.
I spot these Cinderella-inspired dresses & feel something stir in me. One day, I will be a real Queen. I’m already on my way. Everything I do is preparation for the life I know I’m destined for.
The day winds down with dim lights & warm water. I run my babygirl a bubble bath with lavender incense curling in the air—lulling her into a peaceful mood. That’s my little secret. A little night ritual to end our day right.
